Active Narratives

Every life is made of stories. Some lift and carry us forward, others hold us back. Often, without realising it, we confuse our stories for who we are. But here’s the truth: stories can change. And when they do, so do we.

Long Story Short

Living Your Life or Lost in a Story?

We each have our own stories, chapters laid down from our earliest years, each a narrative web of intertwined and interconnected experiences – and our perception of them – complete with stories between stories, and stories within stories. Without being aware of it, the stories take on a life of their own, they become our lives and our identity, rather than being stories about our lives.
Instead of being the narratives that propel us forward, they can become the stories that hold us back…

Sit Down, You Stupid Boy

Just five words but five words that were to have an enormous impact upon me for many, many years to follow. Whenever and wherever I had to speak in front of others those words were always the very first thing that instantaneously sprang to mind. Quickly followed by a rush of anxiety.
Until the shift came that is…

The Camino de Santiago: Baggage, Lightening the Load, and Letting Go

I’ve walked the Camino de Santiago on three occasions so far: the Camino Francés, a Francés/Norte combination, and the Camino Inglés beginning with the Celtic Camino in Ireland (Bray to Dublin). Each one left its own mark on me. In more ways than one…

My Aim

Active Narratives is not about fixing anyone. It is about remembering wholeness. I hold spaces where people can see their stories with fresh eyes — recognising the past as influence, not destiny — and choosing how to live the next chapter with clarity and freedom.

What I Offer

Through one-to-one coaching, group circles, and workshops, I guide people into a process of awareness and change. Each session is part of a larger unfolding story: tools, reflections, and practices that help you step out of limiting patterns and into a life that feels more present, authentic, and alive.

The Approach

Through self-reflection and exercises, mindful practices, and coaching support, Active Narratives is a framework to provide a safe space for exploration. We focus on:

  • Awareness & Wholeness: Your past informs you, but it does not define you. In exploring your stories, you begin to see the threads of resilience, strength, and possibility.
  • Choice & Agency: Life is not just what happens to you. You can choose how to meet it. Together, we explore what it means to step out of reactivity and into presence, making choices that align with your deeper values.
  • Mindfulness in Practice: By bringing awareness to the moment — even the space between breaths — you reconnect with yourself and discover freedom beyond old habits.
  • Reframing Limiting Beliefs: Inner critics soften when met with compassion. From here, new narratives emerge, ones that invite confidence, resilience, and self-trust.
  • Writing the Next Chapter: Active Narratives is about moving from being a character in someone else’s script to becoming the author of your own.

What People Say

Your past may be written, but your future is not.
If you’re ready to step into the space where story becomes possibility, I invite you to begin.

Together, let’s transform your story and your life, one chapter at a time.
